The Last Sefirah

On the night before Shavous the Rebbe comes into the Heichal (Big Shul) for the Counting of the 49th Day of Sefiras Ha’omer. After the Tefila, hundreds of visitors who have arrived from around the world to be with the rebbe for Shavous, would pass and greet the Rebbe.

Preparing for Kabulas Hatorah!

In the afternoon hours of Erev Shavous (day before Shavous) thousand of people, children, teenagers and men, will come to the Shul for their final preparations before entering Shavous. They all sit together and learn Torah until night falls. There is no sound sweeter than the voices of Jews sitting together and learning the Holy Torah.

Chag Ha’Shavous

Chag Ha’Shavous

One of the biggest gatherings in Belz is the Tish on Shavous afternoon. It is called The “ובאו כולם” Tish from the Piut of יונה מצאה. For many hours the thousands of chassidim gathered sing together, and the Rebbe speaks about the Holiness of the Day and our connection to the Torah. Right before the Rebbe speaks the last piece of the Piut which starts “ובאו כולם” is song a few times repetitively.
