שבת טהרנו Shabbos of Technology Awareness

Following the Zos Chanukah Tish on Thursday, and in preparation for the upcoming ‘Shabbos Tahareini,’ all Yeshiva Bochurim learning in Eretz Yisroel gathered in the “Groise Shtub” – the large Room (where the Belzer Rebbe Shlita usually conducts his tisch – gatherings around the Shabbos meals) in the presence of the Belzer Rebbe Shlita, to hear Divrei Chizuk – words of encouragement from the Dayanim, Harav Shlome Bineth Shlita and Harav Yaakov Landau Shlita.  The Dayanim spoke about the dangers of technology and encouraged the Bochurim to hold onto the holiness of Chanukah as they each were given an undertaking to sign to commit themselves to this drive.

Maran Reb Aharon Mordechai Rokeach Shlita wrapped up the event by reviewing the words of the Dayanim and encouraged each bochur to write down his personal commitment to strengthen their resolve in protecting themselves from the dangers of technology.
