CAMPAIGN TO COMBAT ISREAL’S GOVERNMENT CUTS

In a dramatic ruling published on Tuesday morning, the Supreme Court of Israel published its decision on draft-exempt petitions regarding the Chareidi draft law and ruled that the government of Israel must draft bnei yeshiva and continue withholding funding to yeshivas and kollelim whose students do not comply with this ruling.

To combat this development, last week’s successful fundraising campaign – when Chassidim the world over rallied to help their embattled brethren in the holy land – proved yet again that Am Yisroel Chai! The authentic, unflinching, unwavering Jewish people will prevail in their life mission to uphold the Torah, its values, and its students!

Following the urgent appeal by the Belzer Rebbe shlita on Motzei Shavuos to all Belz Chassidim to contribute a minimum of $250.00, the sum raised reached well over $1.5 million! The money is still being distributed this month to Kollel Avreichim in Eretz Yisroel to compensate for the funding cuts carried out by the government in Israel.

Although the campaign reached its deadline, hundreds of donations are still pouring in.
