לא תעשה לך פסל וכל תמונה (יתרו כ:ד)

When Maran Reb Aharon of Belz zt”l moved from the Kiryat Shmuel neighborhood to the Batei Varsha neighborhood in Yerushalayim, a great קבלת פנים – welcoming ceremony – was arranged. A photographer was standing ready to snap a photo of the Rebbe coming out of the car.  However, Maran Reb Aharon noticed and asked that no pictures be taken of him.  The Bilgoray Rav zt”l told his brother that the Yid is a professional photographer and does this for his parnassah – livelihood.  Only then did Maran Reb Aharon allow the photographer to take one photo – and no more.
