ובא אשר לו הבית והגיד לכהן…(מצורע יד:לה)

A bewildered Yid from the town of Selish once came to the “Imrei Yosef” zt’’l lamenting that the oxen in his herd were sick and many had died.  The Imrei Yosef told him to check his tefillin.  When his tefillin were examined, the Sofer found that the words “ולא יראה לך שאור בכל גבולך” – the word “שאור”  was missing the letter “א” reading שאר – ox – “you won’t see an ox in your territory.”
