CHASSIDISHE STORY ON THE PARSHA
פרשת תצוה
Parshas Tetzaveh
לזכרון לפני השם תמיד (תצוה כח:כט)
As a constant remembrance before Hashem
A Chassid once came to Reb Yehudah Tzvi of Stretin zt”l lamenting that he always forgets what he learns. He asked the Rebbe for a segula to help him remember.
Reb Yehudah Tzvi answered him: “It says לזכרון לפני השם תמיד – the Torah should always stay in your memory. What is the technique? It says in the beginning of the parsha “להעלות נר תמיד” – if you always sit by ‘the light emanating from the candle’ and training yourself to review what you have learned, that is the best advice to remember your studies!”
