KNEIDLACH ON PESACH
The Tchebiner Rav zt’’l greatly respected his Rebbetzin, a grandaughter of the holy Chasam Sefer. The Chasam Sefer used to eat kneidlach (gebrokts) during Pesach. Someone once asked the Tchebiner Rav if he respects his Rebbetzin. Why doesn’t he eat kneidlach during Pesach like the Chasam Sofer?
The Tchibener Rav replied, “You’re right, but if I want to act according to the Chasam Sofer, why start with the kneidlach? There are many more important things to learn from the Chasam Sofer.”
