The Avodah of Yom Kippur

When the Frierdiger Rav zt’’l resided  in the city of Ratzfard during WWI, he delayed starting to recite the “סדר העבודה” in the Mussaf tefillos (section listing the tasks that were done during the times of the Beis Hamikdas).

He explained his delay as follows: “In Belz, before I started davening Mussaf, I was able to envision with my eyes the whole Bais Hamikdash and how the Kohan Gadol performed the Avodah, and that is how I was able to recite the Avodah.  But here, I couldn’t see it at first, and after a while, I was already able to envision it, and that is when I started davening.”
