הצור תמים פעלו (האזינו לב:ד)

Reb Shimon zt”l of Yarislov (Jarosław, Poland) merited אריכת ימים – long life. When he was in his elderly years, his talmidim (disciples) asked him how he merited to reach such a ripe old age. He answered: “I always accepted everything in my life באהבה – with love and never complained about what Hashem sent my way.  For me, it is as clear as the sun that everything Hashem does is perfect.  When someone questions why things are happening and complaints about the seemingly unfair treatment, he is summoned up to heaven, where he is told: “Look now and from your current vantage point you realize that everything is good and justified….’ But I never complained; they did not take me to heaven yet to prove Hashem’s justice”.
