Motzei Yom Kippur ‘Hamavdil Tish’

Yom Kippur with the Belzer Rebbe shlita was an exalting and uplifting experience.  Thousands worldwide and from cities across Eretz Yisroel were privileged to hear the Yom Kippur tefillos from the auspicious Kol Nidrei, an evoking Shacharis, a poignant Mussaf, and to the resounding “עול מלכות שמים” at Ne’eila, where the walls of the Shul shook from the booming voices of thousands reciting Shema – beseeching Hashem to accept our tefillos and decree a good year upon all of Klal Yisroel.

The “Hamavdil Tish” conducted on Motzei Yom Kippur is infused with the Kedusha – the holiness of Yom Kippur. As customary in Belz, the Belzer Rebbe shlita hands out blessed fruit to all in attendance, accompanied by beautiful and heartwarming Yomim Noraim Niggunim.  The highlight of the tisch is when the Rebbe sings “Hamavdil” with chassidim echoing the “Oy, Oy…” refrain. 

As the tish came to an end, chassidim escorted the Belzer Rebbe shlita in a festive song, “שובו שובו לכם” – May we all return to our homes filled with blessings for a Good Year.”
