אמר רבי יהושע בן לוי: בכל יום בת קול יוצאת מהר חורב..(אבות ו:ב)

Every day a Bas Kol is heard saying: “Woe is to the man who forsakes Torah.”

The Talmidim of the Bas Ayin zt’’l once asked, “Why is there a Bas Kol if we can’t hear it?” The Bas Ayin didn’t reply.  He took his talmidim for a walk in the forest, where they encountered two Arabs fighting with each other.  One of the Arabs yelled at the other, ‘How can you not be afraid of G-d!’ The Bas Ayin said: “You heard? That was the בת קול  that is heard every day. Just no one pays attention to hear it.  But if you pay attention, one can be worthy of hearing this divine message!”
