כל מחלוקת שהיא לשם שמים סופה להתקיים (אבות ה:יז)

Even if two Talmidei Chachamim (Torah scholars) have a dispute over a Halacha and the verdict is according to one of their opinions, both opinions are noteworthy in Heaven, as it says in אז נדברו יראי ה’ איש אל רעהו” – מלאכי ג:טז – let the G-d fearing people speak to one another” – this statement is in the singular form.  But the pasuk continues, “ויכתב בספר זכרון לפניו ליראי ה’’ – and it was written in the Book of Remembrance,  those who fear Hashem” – this part of the pasuk is in plural format. 

כל מחלוקת שהיא לשם שמים  – any argument that two people have for the sake of Hashem סופה להתקיים – both opinions are noted in the Book of Remembrance in Heaven.
