עשרה נסים נעשו לאבותינו (אבות ה:ד)

If the ten miracles that happened to our Avos in Mitzrayim – Egypt, were that they were saved front the ten makkos – plagues, then why does not the Mishna write first “עשר מכות הביא הקב”ה על המצריים” and then “עשרה נסים נעשו לאבותינו במצרים”?

The Chida explains that each of the ten makkos – plagues – that came upon the Egyptians came first upon the Yidden, for just a fleeting moment and then the Egyptians were afflicted with it.  Hence, the miracles that happened to the Yidden came before the makkos that came upon the Egyptians – since the Yidden were inflicted first, if only for one short second.  The miracle was that the makkos were transferred to the Mitzriyim – Egyptians.
