SHABBOS OF PURIFICATION

Due to the ever – accelerating rise of technological gadgetry and internet-based content, the Belzer Rebbe Shlita established the Shabbos of Parshas Vayechi as an annual Shabbos of introspection and inspiration, dubbed “Shabbos Tahareinu” – The Shabbos of Purifying.  For Belzer Chasidim, the world over, it is a week that they will hear a Drasha – speech in their Belzer Shteeble about the dangers of technology, like addiction to apps, unsupervised use of social media and excessive reliance on Hi-Tech. 

Rabbanim and professionals in the technology field will be addressing the concerns of congregants by highlighting the precautions and safety measures that the Rebbe Shlita instituted to combat this scourge of “Generation Z.” They will also offer resources and information about the various content filters, to assist those who use the internet for business – related purposes – especially those working from home.
