VORT ON THE PARSHA
וגלח את כל שערות את ראשו ואת זקנו (מצורע יד:ט)And shave all the hair from his head and his beard
A ‘Metzora’ is commanded to shave his hair, beard, and eyelashes.
These three body parts cause sinful actions whose punishment is tzara’as – leprosy.
The head is to rectify for meddling in everything, the beard around the mouth serves as repentance for speaking lashon hara, and the eyelashes are for peering at others with a jealous eye.Go back to Parshas Metzorah
