VORT ON THE PARSHA
Parshas Chayei Sara

ותקח הצעיף ותתכס…(חיי שרה כד:סה)
She took the veil and covered herself.A Yid once lamented to the Bilgoray Rav tz’’l that he doesn’t have parnassah. The Bilgoray Rav knew that this Yid’s wife wasn’t too stringent in tznius – modesty, and he told the Yid: “If your wife is more diligent in her dress code, I promise you that you will be blessed with earning parnassah – livelihood easily.” He continued that proof for this Bracha is in parshas Chaya Sara where it says: “ותקח הצעיף ותתכס” – the word צעיף stands for עמך ישראל צריכים פרנסה – Jews needs parnassah.
A צעיף- a veil personifies modesty – when one does ותתחס – adorns themselves – with modest clothing, they become worthy of plenty parnassah.
