ולמכיר נתתי את הגלעד (דברים ג:טו)

When a Yid is בשמחה (joyous), this is evidence that he recognizes the presence of Hashem in his life. This might be the hidden meaning of this pasuk: “ולמכיר” – how can you tell that someone מכיר – recognizes Hashem – נתתי את הגלעד – if he is joyful the word גלעד can be split into two words: “גל” – gladness and ”עד” – to be a witness; his joy is evidence that he recognizes Hashem. is valued as ten, alluding to the ten times mentioned in the Torah about Moshe Rabbeinu’s demise.
