Parshas Ki Savo
ולקחת מראשית כל פרי האדמה (כי תבא כו:ב)
You shall take the first of every fruit of the ground.
Rashi says on the word “מראשית” that one does not have to bring Bikurim from every type of fruit; Bikurim is meant to be brought only from the שבעת המינים – the seven species, with which Eretz Yisroel is blessed with.
This is alluded to in the passuk since the numerical value of the word “ולקחת” is 544, equivalent to “בשבעה המינים”- ( 534)(when the numerical value of the letters that make up these two words is added (11 – this is one of the instances where the following Rule of Gematria is applied: if the total is one too much or too less, it is not counted).
