כל הזהב העשוי למלאכה בכל מלאכת הקדש (פקודי לח:כד)

The holy Ohr Hachaim zt”l writes that the Torah tells us an extraordinary phenomenon that occurred when creating the vessels for the Mishkan. Typically, some parts inevitably fall away when designing things from gold, silver, or other metals.  These minute particles are lost and cannot be used anymore.  The same thing should have occurred during the works on the holy vessels, especially when the artisans cut thin pieces of gold to create delicate golden threads.  The passuk says כל הזהב העשוי למלאכה – all the gold that was prepared for the work – all of it was included in the “מלאכת הקדש” – holy work – as not one particle of gold was lost.
