נרפים אתם נרפים על כן אתם אומרים נלכה נזבחה (שמות ה:יז)

A Chassid once came to Reb Gershon Henoch of Radzin zt”l.  The chassid chose to forgo any menial work and instead wanted to become a shochet – ritual slaughterer, for which he was not qualified.  Reb Gershon Henoch told him off, saying this passuk: נרפים אתם נרפים – you are simply lazy.  You just do not want to work and therefore: על כן אתם אומרים נלכה נזבחה – this is why you say you would instead become a shochet!”.
