הנני ממטיר לכם לחם מן השמים ויצא העם ולקטו דבר יום ביומו (בשלח טז:ד)

Behold! I shall rain down for you food from heaven; let the people go out and pick the portion of each day on its day.

The word “הנני” means something constant.  When Yidden have Bitachon – reliance – on Hashem, then: הנני ממטיר לכם לחם מן השמים – Hashem sends parnassah for everyone. 

However, when “ויצא העם” – people leave their Bitachon, then: “ולקטו דבר יום ביומו” – they will struggle to earn parnassah – livelihood – daily.
