ולקחת המרצע ונתתה באזנו…והיה לך עבד עולם (ראה טו:יז)

.והיה לך עבד עולם – he is your servant until יובל – the 50th year. What does the word לך personify? An עבד עברי that works six years for his boss, and in the interim his boss dies, he remains a servant for his boss’s son. However, when his ears get pierced, the passuk says: והיה לך עבד עולם – he remains forever – only for his boss, and not for his boss’s son.
