Yahrzeit of Rebbetzin Malka a”h – First Belzer Rebbetzin

Malka – a True Queen
Reb Aharon of Belz zt”l used to eulogize his grandmother every year, on the Shabbos before her yahrzeit, saying: “ומלכי צדק מלך שלם” – “Malka” was a tzadeikes (righteous woman) that crowned her husband “Shalom” to achieve “malchus” – royalty!

Rebbetzin Malka was her husband’s, The Sar Shalom of Belz zt’’l, the First Belzer Rebbe’s life partner, and always supported him in his quest to stay in learning.  When Reb Shalom of Belz zt”l committed to staying awake and learning for a thousand consecutive nights, his holy wife stood at his side, holding a candle throughout the night so that he could learn undisturbed.
